1. Incheon Fish Market Sales Recover by 90% After First Weekend Following Japanese Contaminated Water Release

- After Japan's Fukushima nuclear power plant began dumping contatminated water on the 24th, local shopkeepers were concerned about the 'depression' caused by the possibility of polluted water. Fortunately, they heaved a sigh of relief as consumers continue to visit the fish market. 

- At the same time, big retailers saw a modest uptick in seafood sales. Sales of mackerel, which is a fresh food, as well as dried fish such as laver (30%) and anchovies (120%), which are believed to be hoarded, grew 8% year-on-year.

Anyway, the effect will be felt shortly within a few years... Thus, I have decided to head seafood places whenever I schedule plans with my friends. The terrible part is that I DO enjoy grilled fish..... :( 
If I have an opportunity, I should also go to Sokcho and consume a bunch of grilled fish. 

 

 

2. 1.26 Million young Koreans are unemployed, and it takes an average of 10.4 months to find work. 

- According to the statistics, it was discovered that around 1.26 million 'young unemployed' did not have work even after graduation. 

- College graduates account for 52.8% of the young unemployed, with the remainder being high school graduates, middle school graduates, and elementary school grads or younger. 

- According to the survey, 36.2% of jobless persons go to academies or libraries to prepare for employment-related examniations, while 25.% spend time at home with no particular activities.
